Almost every floor we get called to repair was installed over a slab nobody checked. Leveling is the least visible part of the job and the part that decides whether the floor is still flat in five years.

How we check it
We run a straightedge across the slab and map the low and high spots before we quote, so the prep is a line item you can see instead of a surprise mid-job. High spots get ground down, low areas get a self-leveling pour, and we moisture-test first because underlayment over a wet slab causes the same failures it was meant to prevent.
Questions about floor leveling
Will you level a floor if someone else is installing it?
Yes. Leveling is a service on its own, not just prep for our own installs. Plenty of our leveling work is for other contractors and GCs.
How far out of level is too far?
Most manufacturers want flatness within about 3/16 inch over 10 feet, and large-format tile and glue-down wood are stricter. We measure and show you exactly what we found.
How long before we can walk on it?
Most self-leveling underlayments take foot traffic within a few hours and are ready for flooring in about a day, depending on depth and humidity. We'll give you the real number for your job.
