Replacing builder grade
Eagle Springs, Atascocita Forest, Walden on Lake Houston and the newer sections all went in with the same economics: the builder spent as little as possible on flooring. That's not a defect, it's how spec homes are priced. But builder carpet has a short life in a house with kids and dogs, and the thin laminate in the entry usually shows wear at the door before anything else does. Most of our Atascocita work is a whole-ground-floor replacement in one go.
Flat slabs are the good news
Because the homes here are newer, the slabs are usually in decent shape and leveling is often minor or unnecessary. That matters for your price: prep is where flooring estimates blow up, and in Atascocita it's frequently the smallest line on the sheet. We still measure it rather than assume.
